Established in 1949, Cancer Center of Santa Barbara provides cancer treatment and diagnostic services. The center offers medical care in the departments of radiation oncology, hematology and nuclear medicine. In addition to providing cancer treatment, the cancer center maintains a variety of cancer support services, including clinical research trials, wellness programs, and counseling and cancer support groups. The center also provides various patient wellness classes and services, including yoga for health, healing, strength and empowerment, meditation, nutrition counseling, painting, poetry and various exercise programs, and the Walnut Pier Health Club. It also provides a colon cancer early detection and prevention program and cancer resource library. The cancer center is located in Santa Barbara, Calif.
