Dr. Runnels is a Louisiana native but has called Texas her home since the beginning of medical school at UT Health Science Center in Houston in 1995. She found her way to San Antonio in 1999 for Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Training. After Dr Runnels completed training in 2003 and received the Outstanding Resident Award. She spent a short time on faculty at the medical school, but ended up finding her way to a private practice to fulfill her true passion, which is patient care. Dr Runnels has 3 wonderful children and spends her working time on Office-Based care & procedures only. Her areas of specialty include General Gynecology & Women’s Health, Male & Female Natural Hormone Replacement Therapy and Hormone Optimization, Menopause & Andropause Management, Metabolic Syndrome, (PCOS), Pelvic Floor Therapy/Strengthening, Sexual Health & Dysfunction, Vuvlar/Vaginal Disease, Urinary Incontinence and Pelvic Organ Health. As a Ob/Gyn & an artist, Dr Runnels has an eye for beauty and the skill to create it with the hands of a surgeon by using Fillers/Botox/Microneedling/ PRP(Platelet Rich Plasma) for Facial Aesthetics, Vampire Facelift® and Vampire Facials® as well PRP for Clitoral/ Vaginal use, to treat Sexual Dysfunction and Urinary Incontinence with the O Shot®.
