Established in 1958, the Mauldin Fire Department is a full-service public safety agency that works to provide fire suppression and prevention and emergency medical services. It is comprised of more than 30 full-time employees and operates various fire stations. The department serves in area of over 20 square miles. The Mauldin Fire Department supports a public safety program that provides fire safety information and administers puppet shows, tours, fire safety talks and fire extinguisher classes. It also conducts fire inspections and investigations and is responsible for planning fire examination and prevention.
