Why We Exist Stonewater Fellowship is a people gathering in authentic relationship for real purpose. The “real purpose” is to bring glory to God by engaging all people to become multiplying disciples of Jesus Christ. This statement helps define and direct all of our ministry efforts and keeps us on THE mission Jesus ordained His church to accomplish. Discipleship is an intentional and relational process by which God equips and mobilizes people to His Kingdom work. As we engage in making disciples, our hope is to make more disciples of Jesus – Disciples who multiply into disciples who make more disciples. A disciple is someone intentionally becoming more like Jesus in character, conduct, and priorities. And so Stonewater Fellowship’s ministry model is simple: We engage all people into becoming multiplying disciples of Jesus in everything we do. What We Do Our hope for people who call Stonewater Fellowship their church home is that they would glorify God in all aspects of their lives by engaging in making disciples. To that end, we ask all partners to worship regularly, to live in authentic accountable community, and to give their lives as an offering of service in discipleship. How We Are Structured Stonewater Fellowship is an elder-led church. Currently our elder board is comprised of a Partnership Advisory Team. These men are responsible for the protection of doctrine, the vision and direction of the church. Once elders are elected from our body all of our elders will be participants in our Growth Group or Community Group discipleship as well as actively engaged in 1-on-1 disciple-making relationships. Our church staff, under the authority of the Lead Pastor, is and will be responsible for implementing Stonewater’s disciple making vision and participating in group and 1-on-1 disciple-making relationships as well. What We Believe Stonewater Fellowship is Evangelical Free Church of America denomination church plant. The EFCA is an association of autonomous churches united around ten theological convictions. More information about our statement of faith can be found on our website www.stonewaterfellowship.org

Driving through Texas country roads one autumn day, Jim Graff began to get a glimpse of a dilemma that would ignite a passion in his heart. In small town after small town, great football stadiums, built with the finest materials and engineering skills available, stood as monuments to Americas love affair with football. But often, those same communities were filled with struggling churches. This observation helped Jim to embrace Gods heart for small town America. A pastor of a small town church himself, Pastor Jim Graff commissioned a survey in the year 2000 to gather research on churches in small and medium sized counties across the nation. Over 2,783 counties with a population under 150,000 were studied. These counties combined represented 90 million people in approximately 15,000 smaller cities and towns. If considered as their own nation, they would be the 13th largest nation on earth.
