Formosan United Methodist Church was formerly known as Faith United Methodist Church. The church is a Chinese speaking congregation with the majority of the congregants being from Taiwan. The pastor of the church is Rev. Danny Huang. 

First United Methodist Church of San Leandro is located downtown. The Rev. Myrna Bernadel-Huey serves as senior pastor. Worship services take place Sundays at 9:30 a.m.
