The United Methodist Church of Red Bank is a church with an open door policy. The congregation reaches out to the Redbank community through service hours and various ministries. All are welcome to join in worship.
Shrewsbury Avenue Ame Zion Church, established in 1827, is located in Red Bank and offers community services and hours of worship. The church was dedicated on January 15, 1916, and an addition was added April 5, 1987.
It is the oldest African-American church in Monmouth County and the Mother Church of the New Jersey Conference. The reverend is Ronald P. McDougal.
