For more than 60 years, Kiewit Mining Group, a subsidiary of Kiewit Corporation, has been one of North America s premier producers of high-energy coal. Kiewit Mining Group owns or manages coalmines in Montana, Wyoming and Texas, and conducts mining operations for a clay mine in Mississippi. The company specializes in mine management, production, maintenance and contract mining ventures. Since 1944, Kiewit has been involved in the mining of more than 500 million tons of coal. The company operates or manages four surface coalmines capable of producing more than 34 million tons per year. Kiewit Mining Group has a location in Gillette, Wyo.
