The Honey Baked Ham company started more than 40 years ago and remains a family-run organization with franchise stores throughout the country. The Piedmont Avenue store sits in a mini-mall that offers free parking. The store serves prepared foods and fresh-made sandwiches, as well as a menu of catering options for its famous honey-baked ham.
With two locations in the Oakland area, Bittersweet is the chocolate cafe. The restaurant and cafe features its own roasted coffee, bar chocolate, hot chocolate mixes, yogurt, sandwiches, soups, pastries and more.
