Air Force Village I is one of two Air Force Village retirement communities founded by the Air Force Village Foundation in 1964. The community was the first retirement community in the nation that offered care and services for retired military officers and their dependents. We confess the Christian faith as revealed in Gods Word ( the Holy Bible ) and in accordance with the Confessions of the Evangelical Lutheran Church as contained in the Book of Concord of 1580. We cherish beauty in music and art and strive to employ these gifts of Gods creation in worship. Established in 1874, we are the mother church of all LCMS churches in Topeka.
