The Atwater Village Theatre is a performing arts space that was founded by Ensemble Studio Theatre LA and Circle X Theatre Co. in 2009. The Atwater Village Theatre consists of two 99-seat black box theaters, and is used for the rehearsals and productions of its founding companies, as well as for regular workshops, community events and educational programming designed to support the arts in the community. Its wrap-around marquee can be seen from all corners of the Broxton and Weyburn intersection. Discounted tickets are available to seniors, children and students alike. Currently, the movie house offers "Insomnia Saturdays" for just $9 every Saturday at midnight. It also shows current movie titles as well. Because private screenings and specials engagements are often held at the theater, calling ahead for movie times is strongly suggested.
