Dakota Coal Company controls rights to lignite reserves throughout North Dakota. The company provides financing and marketing services to the Freedom Mine. It produces lime reagent products. It produces and markets valuable byproducts and coproducts, such as phenol, anhydrous ammonia, ammonium sulfate, carbon dioxide, liquid nitrogen and naphtha.
