Angela Floyd Schools provides music and dance classes in West Knoxville, Farragut, Bearden, North Knoxville, Powell, Halls, Karns or Fountain City. Since 1997 over 5500 students have taken dance or music lessons at our two different locations, more than at any other studio in West and North Knoxville. We started as a very small school but have grown to become the largest dance and music school in Knoxville. Besides dance lessons in tap, classical ballet, jazz, hip hop, acrobatics, and jumps/leaps/turns, we also have music lessons featuring private instruction in voice, guitar, drums, piano, keyboard, violin, viola, cello, bass, ukulele, banjo, saxophone, flute, clarinet, and several other instruments. In addition, we now offer preschool music classes at both our West Knoxville and North Knoxville locations. We have music lessons and dance classes at a variety of times so that you can book classes for different children at the same time to save you hours of driving and waiting time. Along with our private music lessons we have regular low pressure Music Recitals that students can perform in if they wish. Our music teachers are very experienced in catering to the needs of new students. Our year end Dance Spring Concerts are held at the beautiful 2500 seat Knoxville Civic Auditorium. We have exciting, professional, and entertaining performances in our Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Hip Hop show. That is why more families in Knoxville and the surrounding areas trust us as their music school or dance studio, more than any other.

School of Rock is the leader in performance-based music education. We teach guitar, bass, drums, keyboard and vocals, and our students put on amazing shows at local venues. Our programs, camps and workshops for toddlers, kids, teens and adults make learning to play music fun and create great communities of musicians. Rock 101 is our performance program for kids ages 6-18 who are just starting out on a new instrument. This program includes a weekly private lesson (45 or 30 minutes) and a weekly 90-minute group lesson. The group lesson puts into practice what each student is learning in their private lesson and focuses on the building blocks of performance, playing in a band, and using musical gear. Students work as a band and play through songs ranging from The Beatles and The Rolling Stones to Weezer and The Black Keys. Once a student graduates Rock 101 or if theyre joining our program already a bit familiar with their instrument, they move into Performance Program! Performance includes a weekly private lesson (45 or 30 minutes) and a 3-hour weekly group rehearsal for the show theyre cast into. Rehearsals run 11-13 weeks and each season concludes with each show performing on a real rock stage in the city. Previous venues have included House of Blues, Hard Rock Live and South Point Showroom! For our preschool aged students we have Little Wing. Our Little Wing classes were designed alongside leading experts to inspire social and cognitive development while enriching language, literacy and physical development. And above all, Little Wing classes are FUN! Great activities, musical exercises and games set to some of the most important music of our time. Little Wing will foster a love for music that will last a lifetime. Students 18+ can enroll in our Adult Program which includes a weekly private lesson tailored to the students proficiency level and goals. And additionally School of Rock Las Vegas West is equipped with a recording studio! We offer lessons in recording software and practices and have great recording deals and pricing available to students and outside clients alike. School of Rock has something for every aspiring musician.
