The Hangout is a Family Restaurant on the waterfront of Gulf Shores, AL. Located on the beach. The Hangouts fresh seafood, live music, family events and fun for kids brings locals and visitors together for family fun, in an open space. The Hangout was a popular place in the late 50s and early 60s for locals and visitors. The original beachfront Hangout was always a popular place for young folks. As the years went on, it became a staple in Gulf Shores--until Hurricane Ivan hit in 2004, after which it was rebuilt and went on to bring Hangout Fest to the forefront of Gulf Shores, Alabama.
