Max M. Fisher Music Center is a performing arts institution. Founded in 1919, it houses a 2000-plus-seat orchestra hall that offers organization of multimedia presentations, lectures and screenings. The institution also has a lounge that features various architectural elements, such as wooden floors with marble inlays, marble tabletops, Italian leather chairs, and wooden and designer glass wall paneling. It also houses an educational center that includes a music library, practice studios of vari sizes and a rehearsal hall for youth orchestras, bands and choirs. Max M. Fisher Music Center is a part of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and hosts various events including jazz, pop and family concerts. The institution is located in Detroit, Mich.
