The Santa Monica Daily Press is a daily local newspaper published in Santa Monica. The free paper's motto is "We have you covered." The newspaper includes news pieces — original reports, as well as wire stories — that span the City of Santa Monica, Los Angeles County and the State of California. Also included are sports roundups, columns, events listings, movie times, comics, weather forecasts, horoscopes and puzzles. Published six days a week (with Sunday excepted), the SMDP also services Venice Beach, Brentwood and West Los Angeles. Its publisher is Newlon Rouge, LLC. The paper is a member of the California Newspaper Publishers Association, the Association of Free Community Papers, the Circulation Verification Council, The Associated Press, the Independent Free Papers of America and the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce.
