Opportunity House is a charitable nonprofit rehabilitation center established in 1963. The center is located in Sycamore, Ill. It provides services to individuals with various disabilities, such as retardation, cerebral palsy, epilepsy and autism. The center teaches various job-finding and interviewing skills to members. It teaches work skills, productivity, work habits and social skills to the clients. The center additionally offers several subcontract jobs from local industries that includes work, including packaging and assembly. Opportunity House provide training in various areas, such as self care, health care, physical fitness, acceptable behavior, safety awareness, mobility, community participation, and communication and leisure skills. It offers a wide range of recreational activities, including bowling, movies, dances, swimming, concerts, spectator sports events, and trips and tours.
