The good people at Windrush are a breed apart. This not-for-profit equestrian farm doubles as a school dedicated to helping those dealing with physical, learning or emotional disabilities. Windrush claims to be one of the first "therapeutic equestrian centers" in the country and can trace its roots back to 1964.
Located on 35 acres in both North Andover and Boxford, and abutting 160 acres of conservation lands, Windrush has various offerings depending on the needs of their students. Therapeutic riding and equestrian assisted therapies top the list, but please contact Windrush directly to find out more about its programs. The horses' profile pictures are also available for viewing on the website.
Windrush is a 501(c)3 organization. Please visit their site or call the office if you wish to donate.
