About RPSEA The Research Partnership to Secure Energy for America ( RPSEA ) is a non-profit corporation established to help meet the nations growing need for hydrocarbon resources produced from reservoirs in America. RPSEA is a non-profit corporation formed by a consortium of premier U.S. energy research universities, industry and independent research organizations. RPSEAs mission is to provide a stewardship role in ensuring the focused research, development and deployment of safe, environmentally sensitive technology that can effectively deliver hydrocarbons from domestic resources to the citizens of the United States. RPSEA has established and coordinated a public benefit research program to identify and develop new methods and integrating systems for exploring, producing, and transporting-to-market energy, or other derivative products from natural gas, in Ultra-Deepwater and Unconventional Natural Gas and Other Petroleum Resources. The Energy Policy Act of 2005 established a natural gas supply research and development program associated with these resources to be funded over the next 10 years. As the consortium chosen to manage these funds, RPSEA will sharply focus its experience, expertise, and capabilities on meeting the programs objectives: to maximize the value of domestic natural gas and oil resources through new technologies to increase production, and to do so in less expensive, safer and more efficient and environmentally benign ways.
