Vernon Kasten founded Ceramo Company in 1945. The company uses the Missouri clay to manufacture bricks. Ceramo Company also provides pottery and ceramic services. Ceramo Company offers its customers Ceramos pottery as well as a variety of foreign manufactured pottery. Ceramo currently operates one manufacturing facility in Jackson, Mo., and two distribution centers in Jackson, Mo., and West Chicago, Ill., and offers services to customers in 21-plus states. Ceramo also distributes its manufactured standard clay pottery through a nationwide network of distributors. Ceramo Company offers its products to a variety of clients that include garden centers, floral centers, retail chains, growers, architectural landscapers, craft distributors, bakers and grocery chains. Robots, automated presses and dryers help Ceramo transform red clay into more than 50 million pots and saucers per year.
