The Operator department of Sound Shore Medical Center of Westchester is located on the ninth floor of the main building. The department handles incoming calls to the hospital and connects callers to appropriate departments and staff. The Operator line is open daily, 24 hours a day.
The obstetrics and gynecology department at the Sound Shore Medical Center of Westchester is on the fourth floor of the main building. The department specializes in women's health services, including general care, screenings and treatment. The OB/GYN staff provide expert care with state-of-the-art equipment and procedures. The Volunteer Services Department at Sound Shore Medical Center of Westchester is located on the third floor of the main building. The hospital welcomes individuals interested in volunteering in various departments to assist the staff and enrich the overall experience for patients.
To be enrolled in the volunteer program, prospective volunteers must first schedule and an interview with the Director of Volunteer Services, complete medical clearance forms and attend a mandatory orientation. Younger volunteers, age 14 to 17, also are eligible to enroll with the written consent of a parent.
The Foundation office at Sound Shore Medical Center of Westchester is located on the second floor of the main building. The office deals with fundraising and philanthropic support of the hospital through gifts and donations.
