Since 1973, Renaissance Community Homes has provided specialized residential care for people with developmental disabilities or mental illness. It has expanded its business over the years to include supported independent living programs through Community Living Supports services. Renaissance also contracts with local community mental health agencies.
The Cedars of Dexter is a retirement community for adults 60 years of age and older. Developed by the United Methodist Retirement Communities, the facility offers Craftsman-style cottages in a wooded setting that feature covered front porches, granite countertops and berber carpet. The community has a clubhouse, paved walking paths and a fitness center with a pool, hot tub, and sauna.
