Founded in 1996, the Cottage Health System is the nonprofit organization that offers a range of health care services through various hospitals and medical centers. It maintains Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, Cottage Children s Hospital, Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital, and Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital. The systems hospitals feature more than 500 beds and conduct over 20,000 annual admissions. Its hospitals specialize in the areas of oncology, neuropsychology, psychology, radiology, and speech and language pathology. The Cottage Health Systems hospitals provide acute and stroke rehabilitation, pain management, cancer screening, and physical and occupational therapy services. Its hospitals administer a variety of residency programs. The Cottage Health System also manages the Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation, which was formed in 2007.
