BP Amoco Refining & Marketing is the downstream operations for BP that refines, transports, sells and trades crude oil and petroleum products in more than 100 countries throughout the world. It includes refineries, petrol stations, lubricants and business marketing. The company retails fuel and, in many cases, everyday convenience items, through more than 25,000 petrol stations throughout the world. It serves nearly 13 million customers each day through a collection of brands, including Arco, Castrol, Amoco, Aral and BP. It uses the BP and Amoco brand names in the United States east of the Rocky Mountains and ARCO to the west. In addition, the company has kept the Aral name for use in Germany.
