Established in 1908, Tesoro Refineries is one of the largest refineries in Utah. It produces lubricating and lamp oils and harness dressings for local businesses. The refinery is spread in an area of more than 145 acres and processes oils from Utah, Colorado, Wyoming and Canada. With a total crude-oil capacity of over 55,000 barrels per day, the refinery manufactures gasoline, diesel, jet and heavy fuel oils and liquefied petroleum gas. Tesoro Refineries supplies nearly 100 branded stations that are operated by wholesale distributors. It serves customers of heavy fuel oil in Alaska, Hawaii, Oregon, Washington and North Dakota. The refinery operates approximately 440 retail and fueling stations throughout the West. Headquartered in San Antonio, Tesoro Refineries maintains various locations ion Los Angeles; Martinez, Calif.; Anacortes, Wash.; Kapolei, Hawaii; Kenai, Alaska; Mandan, N.D.; and Salt Lake City.
