Allis-Chalmers Energy Corporation is a multi-faceted oilfield services company that provides integrated services and equipment to oil and gas exploration and production companies, principally in Texas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Colorado, Oklahoma, offshore in the Gulf of Mexico, Mexico and the Middle East. Through its subsidiaries, the company operates in five sectors of the oil and gas service industry: directional and horizontal drilling; casing and tubing; compressed air drilling; production services; and rental tools. Allis-Chalmers was founded in 1913 and changed its name to Allis-Chalmers Energy Corporation in January, 2005. Allis-Chalmers has headquarters in Houston and trades on the American Stock Exchange under the symbol ALY.
