Ray and Ann Brazzel formed the Bandera Drilling Company in October 1975. Ray started working in the oil field in 1956 learning all facets of operation. Ann was an elementary school teacher who learned office management through trial and error. The company provides its drill contracting services for the oil industry throughout western Texas. Bandera Drilling has set safety records and received industry-wide recognition by the International Association of Drilling Contractors with awards for excellence in safety. The company has successful drilled of more than 3800 wells in 74 Texas counties. The Bandera Drilling Company is headquartered in Abilene, Texas.
