Dr. El-Eid is a breast surgeon with Comprehensive Cancer Centers where she treats patients with cancer and non-cancer related diseases of the breast and has served as principal investigator for several clinical research trials. She currently serves as the Medical Director of the Breast Care Center and co-chair and co-moderator of the Breast Tumor Board at Summerlin Hospital and is a cancer liaison physician for its cancer program. Dr. El-Eid is passionate about mentoring the future generation of medical professionals. She is an Adjunct Associate Professor of General Surgery at Touro University Nevada and Adjunct Professor at UNLV School of Medicine. She is also chairman of the Education Committee and co-chair of the mini-internship program through the Community Health and Public Relations Committee. Dr. El-Eid was past board of trustees and past president of Clark County Medical Society. She also participates in its speaker’s bureau. She was invited by the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ACSO) to review and publish clinical practice guidelines on surgical margins for breast-conserving surgery with whole-breast irradiation in stage I and II invasive breast cancer. The data was published by the Journal of Clinical Oncology in spring 2014. Additionally, Dr. El-Eid is chair of the Imaging Committee for the American Society of Breast Surgeons and instructor of the annual meeting for Stereotactic and Ultrasound courses, co-authors numerous publications about breast cancer and breast diseases and frequently gives presentations and lecturers about breast cancer to the public and physicians. Dr. El-Eid has been named Top 100 Women of The Year by My Vegas Magazine, Medical Marvel by Nevada Business Magazine, Distinguished Women in Nevada by Distinguished Publishing Company, Top Breast Surgeon by HealthTap, America’s Most Compassionate Doctor as chosen by PatientsChoice.org and recognized annually as Top Doctor by Vegas Seven, Castle Connolly, Greenspun Media Group and Desert Companion. Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada the breast surgery division participates in monthly tumor board meetings where surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists and other health care professionals come together in a collaborative environment to discuss some of the more challenging breast tumor cases and the best possible treatment options.

Dr. Meoz joined Nevada Radiation Oncology Centers in 1985, which became Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada in 2002. He is currently an Adjunct Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology at Touro University and Clinical Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at University of Nevada School of Medicine. He is also Clinical Associate Professor at UNLV School of Medicine in the department of radiation oncology. He has authored and co-authored numerous scientific papers and has been a speaker in several national and international conferences in the field of oncology and radiation therapy. He serves as investigator in numerous clinical trials conducted at CCCN through the Community Clinical Oncology Program. Prior to joining the practice, he was Assistant Radiotherapist and Assistant Professor of Radiotherapy at the University of Texas MD Anderson Hospital and Tumor Institute. Additionally, he was in private practice as a radiation oncologist in Dallas, Texas; and served as Clinical Assistant Professor of Radiology with the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. Dr. Meoz has received numerous awards and recognitions including: Top Doctors by Desert Companion, Vegas Seven and Vegas, Inc., and Medical Marvels by Nevada Business Magazine. He was awarded a fellowship with the American College of Radiology in 2001. Dr. Meoz is a fellow of the American Board of Quality Assurance. Dr. Goodman is a physician-scientist. He is a hematologist, medical oncologist and clinical researcher at Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada (CCCN). He participates in various basic, translational and clinical research studies at the practice. His translational research projects center around understanding mechanisms that govern cancer’s resistance to hormonal therapy, focusing on prostate cancer. Michael T. Sinopoli, MD joined Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada in October 2010 after five years of private practice in St. Augustine, Florida. While in St. Augustine, Dr. Sinopoli served as Chairman of the Flagler Hospital Cancer Committee and was the Medical Officer on the St. Johns County Operating Board for the American Cancer Society. Dr. Vogelzang is a renowned medical oncologist and cancer researcher who has authored/coauthored numerous peer-reviewed articles, book chapters and abstracts. He was the lead editor of the Comprehensive Textbook of Genitourinary Oncology from 1994-2008. Dr. Vogelzang joined Comprehensive Cancer Centers as a medical oncologist in 2009. He serves as the Associate chair of the Genitourinary (GU) Committee for US Oncology Research and Vice Chair of GU Committee SWOG, a worldwide network of researchers that design and conduct cancer clinical trials. Dr. Vogelzang serves as Clinical Professor of Medicine at University of Nevada School of Medicine as well as Clinical Professor at UNLV School of Medicine. He is also Associate Editor of Kidney Cancer Journal and Clinical Genitourinary Cancer. Prior to joining Comprehensive, he served as Director of Nevada Cancer Institute from 2004 to 2009. From 1999 to 2003, Dr. Vogelzang was Fred C. Buffett Professor and Director of the University of Chicago Cancer Research Center and faculty member from 1982 to 2003. Dr. Vogelzang leads and participates in multiple clinical trials in genitourinary malignancies, phase1 and mesothelioma focusing on new therapies for patients with metastatic kidney, bladder and prostate cancer. He has lead research in Las Vegas for two FDA-approved prostate cancer treatments – Provenge and Xofigo. In 2014, Nature published the international phase 1 teams research on an anti-PD-L1 treatment called atezolizumab (commercially known as TECENTRIQ) for metastatic bladder cancer. The FDA approved the treatment in May 2016. Dr. Vogelzang was named Distinguished Physician of the year by the Nevada State Medical Association and received the Laureate award from the American College of Physicians in Nevada in 2013. Dr. Thummala, a medical oncologist and hematologist, is a board member for Comprehensive Cancer Centers (Comprehensive), and currently serves as medical director of its Northwest Treatment Center. Dr. Thummala focuses on the treatment of all cancer types with a special interest in breast cancer, colon cancer, lung cancer, and hematological malignancies. She is also on the frontlines of clinical research at Comprehensive, where she serves as principal and sub-investigator for many trials, including collaborations with US Oncology Research, UCLA, and Pharma Research. Her phase 2 study on metastatic triple negative breast cancer with G1T28 and Gemcitabine/Carboplatin was accepted for publication at ESMO Congress and Lancet. Prior to joining Comprehensive in 2006, Dr. Thummala practiced in a single specialty group in Texas (Richardson Hospital Medical Center), where she served on the board and acted as the physician liaison appointed by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. She also served on the practice’s cancer committee and, separately, worked as a hospice director for Texas-based Harris Hospice. Dr. Thummala is fluent in Hindi, Urdu, Telugu, and understands Tamil.
