RGP Prosthetic Research Center initiated the use of fiberglass materials in the 50s and became one of the first 100 facilities in the country to receive a certificate of approval from the American Board of Certification. The company did this even while nearly the entire industry was still manufacturing and using prosthetics made of wood. RGP excels in research and development and which has helped the company to become one of the national leaders in prosthetic innovations. The company is privately owned and is headquartered in San Diego. RPG s facility employs nearly 15 people.
