History of Roaring Fork Valley Co-Op The Roaring Fork Valley Co-Op was started in 1952 in Basalt, Colorado. It was formed as an organization to serve the needs of the local ranchers. Membership in the amount of $25.00 par value was issued to provide capital to build the business. As the business grew in size, it was relocated to Carbondale, Colorado. The Co is currently located at 760 Highway 133, Carbondale, Colorado. It serves the many needs of community ranchers, construction companies, and residential home owners. We are a diversified co-op, offering products and services that everyday consumers need and consume on a daily basis. You dont need to be a member to shop and save, although we encourage you to join for a $25.00 lifetime membership fee that entitles you to patronage dividends at the end of our fiscal year. Our 24-Hour, 7 day-a-week fueling station offers Cenex Branded Premium Gasoline and Diesel Fuel at competitive prices. Ask for our proprietary fuel card and receive a 2 discount per gallon. The main store inventories all your hardware, seed, fertilizer, herbicide, pet food and related products, sporting goods, and tack and animal health supplies.
