Monmouth County's Highway Divison is responsible for the maintenance of all county roadways, including repairs, construction and winter snow removal. The division is a part of the Monmouth County Department of Public Works and Engineering.
The Borough of Mendham Department of Public Works is responsible for the maintenance of public roads, parks and borough-owned facilities, as well as vehicle fleet maintenance. It offers services by request, including brush removal and leaves and grass clipping disposal. The town recycling depot is at the same location, and residents can bring material to be recycled at the public works facility in addition to regular curbside pickup.
Cinnaminson's Public Works building is located on Union Landing Road. A large parking lot holds the township's utility trucks. The facility handles issues related to public works, parks and recreation and road supervision and is also the site of Cinnaminson's Recycling Center. The office is open to the public every Wednesday or by appointment.
The Public Works Department is headed by the Superintendent of Public Works and includes the Mechanical Services, Roads, Parks, and Sewer Departments. The Mechanical Services Department has two mechanics and one foreman. The Roads Department has four employees and one general foreman, who supervises both the Roads and Parks Departments. The Parks Department has eight employees. The Sewer Department has three employees and one foreman.
The borough's electric and water utilities operate out of the Public Works Department and its John Avenue building.
