The Henderson Public Works Department operates administration, construction management, engineering services, land development and quality control divisions. Its construction management division oversees the design and construction of capital improvement projects, including police, fire and recreation facilities, as well as other municipal buildings. The department s quality control division is responsible for off-site inspections, materials testing and construction contract administration. The Henderson Public Works Department also provides maintenance services for streets, storm drains, traffic signals, street signs and streetlights. In addition, it provides repair, routine maintenance and fueling services for city-owned vehicles. The department also offers engineering and technical services to public and private capital projects. It additionally maintains and repairs mechanical, electrical, plumbing and air conditioning systems. Located in Henderson, Nev., the department employs a staff of more than 210 people.
