This park is comprised of a wetlands preserve as well as some nice trails for on-leash dog walking. Despite its location adjacent to the Palo Alto dumps, the park has a fresh breeze off the water and some nice views. The landscaping and landfill effort emphasized similarities to ohlone shell mounding. Restrooms and parking are available.

This gorgeous, massive garden is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, and one needs look no further than the numerous fruit trees lining the 60,000 sq. ft. plot for evidence of what three decades can accomplish. The real magic, however, awaits therein.

The wonderous varieties of plants and animals in the garden, from rasberries and string beans to song birds and bumble bees, continue to attract hundreds of gardeners and many more visitors who wish to explore the link between humans, plants, animals and earth.

Spring and fall are wonderful times of year to visit, but there are always plants growing and animals who call the bushes and trees their home.
