This small campground is located along Jordan Creek on the south side of town. Jordan Park Camp is owned and managed by the Walnut Creek Community Church of nearby Windsor Heights. The camp is open seasonally for day camps, conventions and group outings. The facility features a large auditorium that is used for church services, other events and rental reservations.
Amenities
Raccoon River Park is part of the West Des Moines parks system. Blue Heron Lake is at the center of this park and offers 700 feet of public beach for park patrons. There is a soccer complex and a baseball diamond for adult softball leagues. This park also provides picnic shelters, a multipurpose facility that is used for programming, and a dog park.
