Built in the spring of 2010, this location offers a jungle gym, picnic pavillion and plenty of access for everyone. Walnut Ridge Park offers local residents of the Walnut Ridge subdivision an outdoor space to relax, play and socialize. Heritage Woods is located on Fifth Avenue off Ogden Avenue/Route 34. It is located across from an apartment complex and parking is available on the street by the apartments. The trail is .59 miles long and is exclusively for walking.
Both master gardeners and aspiring green thumbs sow their seeds at Naperville Garden Plots. More than 400 people plant and tend to gardens each year. In 2010, there were 495 plots for rent. Church groups, families and individuals plant a wide variety of crops, from tomatoes to watermelons, pumpkins to peas. Residents and non-residents have the option of renting a plot for a nominal fee. The growing season begins in April and ends in October.
This park is situated in the center of the Springside subdivision on the south side of Naperville. Boasting a basketball court and picnic area, along with an athletic field for soccer or touch football, this location is the place for all of your outdoor needs. The basketball court was newly surfaced and renovated in the beginning of 2010.

Located downtown and east of Washington Street, Central Park is the place to go for outdoor concerts held at the band shell. The Naperville Community Concert Center puts on concerts all year by the Naperville Municipal Band and Young Naperville Singers. Residents may apply to use the band shell at the Municipal Center.
For more than 70 years, members of the Naperville Sportsman's Club have shared their love of shooting sports and preserving the great outdoors. The clubhouse and shooting range are open Sundays and Thursdays, and offer the public a chance to learn about the sport and enjoy the newly renovated facilities. When shooters aren't on the range's two fields, they can visit the 800-square-foot clubhouse, which is air-conditioned and features a small kitchen and area to socialize. The range includes three trapshooting ranges, one horseshoe pit, two ponds and trails. The cost to shoot for Naperville residents is $4.75 for singles/wobble trap (25 targets) and $8.50 for doubles trap (50 targets). Costs for non-residents are $6 and $11, respectively.
