Natural Lands Trust has a wildlife preserve located in Upper Gwynedd, which is one of their 41 nature preserves. NLT protects land through direct acquisition (by donation or purchase) and with conservation easements. It also guides land use and preservation using state-of-the-art mapping tools and conservation science.

EDCO Park is a community facility that offers a variety of recreational services and activities to residents in the Evans City area. The facility features an in-ground pool and offers swimming lessons, as well as water aerobics classes such as Noodle Navigators and Water Warriors. EDCO Park's Fireman's Pavilion and Wahl Pavilions are available to the public for rent from April to October, and can be used for hosting such events as birthday parties, family reunions or summer picnics.
Riverbend Environmental Education Center's goal is to encourage teachers and parents to get students to appreciate and understand the environment through outdoor activities and programs.
The center reaches this goal by offering school programs, scout programs, camps, outreach programs, and nature clubs. Riverbend offers field trip opportunities to children in kindergarten up to 5th grade. Also, it offers summer camps in which kids are taught crafts, science experiments and are encouraged to explore nature.
Lehigh County's bureau of parks and recreation develops and manages about 2,500 acres of county parks and open space. Among the parks it manages are several in South Whitehall, including Cedar Creek Parkway East, Cedar Creek Parkway West and the Lehigh County sports fields complex.
