The main park in Bountiful, Utah, is centrally located near the City of Bountiful Parks and Recreation department and is a great draw for both local residents and visitors alike. Boasting ample shade trees and a newly renovated playground, there are plenty of opportunities for families to enjoy a day outside in a safe environment.

Parking and Public Transportation at Bountiful City Park
The park shares a parking lot with Bountiful Junior High School which makes parking relatively easy. This is especially true for families visiting the park, as the parking lot directly faces the playground. Public transportation is not as convenient. If visiting from Salt Lake, you'll have to take the Utah Transit Authority Frontrunner train to the stop at the Woods Cross station and then transfer to a transit bus which will take you within a few blocks of the park.

Best and Worst Time to Go to Bountiful City Park
The morning and mid-afternoon are usually the least crowded times; if you wait until dusk, the playground will be crowded with kids, which could make it more intimidating for younger children. In addition, the weather is most favorable between April and September.

Admission to Bountiful City Park
Since the park belongs to the city of Bountiful, there are no costs to attend the park. Additionally, there are no restrictions on how late you can stay in the park or how early you can get there.

Must See/Do at Bountiful City Park
For children, a visit to the playground is an absolute must. There are actually three different areas within the playground and each area is meant for different aged children. Older kids will enjoy climbing on the giant rope web while younger ones will be more suited to the other areas. In addition, the ample shade trees provide good areas for slacklining.

Other Places to Visit Near Bountiful City Park
The park borders the South Davis Rec Center to the south, which is a great place to swim, exercise, or play basketball. Another great place to visit after an afternoon at the park is the Fizz soda fountain located directly southeast of the playground.
