Eastbay Dance Company offers a wide variety of dance instruction to children and adults alike. Students ages 3 - 5 can participate in Broadway Babies, Baby Ballet and Tiny Tumblers. Students ages 6 - 11 can take classes in ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and Cirque Du Soliel, a combination of Pilates and gymnastics. Teens can study ballet, jazz, and tap, and there are even jazz classes for adults. Dedicated to teaching the art of dance in its many forms for more than 30 years, San Ramon Valley Dance Academy offers classes for students of all levels and ages. Traditional ballet classes are available as well as modern, jazz, hip-hop, tap and Bollywood classes, which are growing increasingly popular. The academy also has gymnastics, tumbling and Pilates-based stretch classes for those looking to improve coordination, flexibility and strength. Children with special needs are invited to join a program designed with their abilities in mind.
The dedicated faculty has years of combined professional training and experience. Master classes with some of the nation's foremost choreographers and teachers are also offered.
The dance school also features a dance shop that carries dance shoes, attire, costumes and props.
Part of the city of San Ramon Park & Recreation Services, the Dougherty Valley Performing Arts Center is on the Dougherty Valley High School campus. Still relatively new, the Performing Arts Center features a 600-seat proscenium theater with full stage, lobby, restrooms, city office, dressing rooms and a 3,500-square-foot rehearsal room.
The Box Office is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m and also one hour before each performance. Individual tickets, four-show packages and full season ticket subscriptions can also be purchased online.
Bella Dance Academy is located in the heart of San Ramon. This large studio facility serves dancers of all ages and skill levels. Weekday classes take place in the afternoon, after most school and work commitments have been fulfilled and weekend classes take place all day.
