Joy School of Dance has a talented and experienced staff that can bring out the best in young dancers. It has classes for all levels of dancers in a wide array of genres. The Joy School of Dance also offers Hip Hop dancing for both teens and tweens along with baton, musical theatre and acting classes. It offers discounts for families with more than one young dancer and it does birthday parties that can be specifically tailored to the dancing genre of choice for the birthday girl or boy.
The Pennsylvania Dance Institute offers dance classes to children and adults, helping them develop strength, poise and a greater sense of body and movement. Classes in classical ballet, hip-hop, jazz, tap and modern dance are offered, as are basic dance classes for toddlers and young children. The staff consists of professional dancers and choreographers so students get a solid foundation in dance. Performance opportunities alongside staff members with Dance Del Bello, a non-profit performing arts company in residence at the institute are available, though not mandatory.
Budzynski Studio of Ballet specializes in instructing dancers from the beginner to the professional level. It also trains children in ballet as young as age four. It has been at the Ferry Road location since 2001. Budzinski Studios is the official ballet school of Dance Theater of Pennsylvania and students are offered the opportunity to perform in its production of The Nutcracker. The studio is also home to the Theatre Arts Center, offering classes in acting and musical theater.

With dance classes for all skill levels, Dolly Haltzman Dance Academy, the educational side of the Repertory Dance Theatre, has been educating children in the ways of dance for the past 23 years. Located on South 6th Street, next to Canine Creations, Haltzman Dance Academy has a wide range of after-school dance classes, along with special programs for "at risk" children.
