Founded by Chris and Petra Karr in 1995, Act 1 Theatre Production Co. (ATP) is a performing arts organization dedicated to bringing theatre, music, and dance performance and education opportunities to the community. ATP hosts theatre and fitness classes for students of all ages, in addition to producing and presenting over twelve dance, music and dramatic performances throughout the year,.
In the future, ATP seeks to create a Sumner-based arts academy offering theatre, dance, voice, music, costume, make-up, set construction and multi-media art programs with special arts opportunities for young people with autism.
