Southeastern Guide Dogs is a nonprofit whose goal is "to create and nurture a partnership between a visually impaired individual and a guide dog, facilitating life's journey with mobility, independence and dignity." It has been providing partnerships between visually impaird people and dogs since 1982 and has more than 600 active guide dogs. Its 23-acre campus is located just off I-275 in rural Palmetto.

With credentials like that, you can be confident that your pet is in good hands. Paradise Pet Motel has "free-to-roam" boarding, meaning animals are not caged throughout the day. The dogs even get 24/7 music and/or cable TV!
Pets are separated into groups according to size, and aggressive pets are not allowed to mingle with others. The staff says that aggression is usually not an issue however, as 99 percent of the pets usually get along. Proof of current immunizations is required, and small fees are payable up front. They usually run around $20 per day for dogs under 25 lbs.
