Leaves of Healing Tabernacle is located in an industrial park, behind the 9440 block of Lurline Boulevard. This church is unique in that its services are during the week, on Tuesday and Friday nights. Leaves of Healing donates and serves food to the needy and homeless after Friday evening services. Children's Bible School is also held during every service, for children ages 8-11. Preschool ministry is available for children 3-5 years old and nursery ministry for children 2 years and under. The church also holds monthly youth activities and monthly women's and men's bible study classes.
Valley Bethel Presbyterian Church has been under the guidance of Pastor Nam Choo for the past three years. He is from Vancouver, Canada. Korean services are also held here to accommodate the many speakers in our community. There is plenty of room and parking and the church's staff are very friendly and understanding.
Situated on a park-like setting in the heart of Chatsworth, St. Stephen Presbyterian Church is a family-centered congregation. There are two ways of worship available to participate in here. The first is a traditional worship service with choral music, hymns and readings. The second is a contemporary worship service with popular praise music, biblical messages, Holy Communion and Kingdom Kids church school. Nursery Care is provided. All are welcome at the St. Stephen Presbyterian Church.
This is the second oldest Protestant church in the San Fernando Valley and includes ample parking and a playground. The multi-ethnic church holds services on Sunday at 10 a.m. and the study group meets on Thursday at 7:15 p.m.
Chatsworth Lake Community Church is a small, well-maintained property that centers around a white clapboard building. The church holds two weekly services, one on Sunday mornings and a Bible Study on Wednesday nights. Parishioners enjoy the courtyard and patio located to the side of the church, while younger members make use of the full basketball court.
The Congregational Church of Chatsworth was established in 1958. It is a small, friendly, cheerful church with Reverand George McGraw at the helm. It is a part of the United Church of Christ and is responsible for the Chatsworth Native Plant Walkway, just east of the church parking lot, which shows an attractive water-conserving way to beautify the gardens in Southern California.
Kingdom Hall on Topanga is a key spot for local Jehovah's Witnesses. The congregation is composed of English and Spanish speakers, and services are conducted in both languages. Bible study is the primary focus, with weekly classes for children and adults. Two sizable parking lots flank the church and the administrative building located here.
The Church occupies half a block on Oakdale Avenue, down the street from Egremont Academy. This church is the headquarters for the LDS Chatsworth ward. Along with Sunday services in English, they also hold services in Korean. Temple sealing wedding ceremonies are also performed here. At the back of the church is a large administration building, which houses recreational facilities as well.
The Garden is a Church that offers Christian guidance and friendship. Services are held every Sunday as well as various bible studies throughout the week. Events (including off-site activities) are also available such as sports outreaches and beach baptisms. There have 5 different ministries: family, children, singles, youth and college.
St. John Eudes is not just a Catholic Church. It has a school and playground, too. The large campus centers around a courtyard, with congregation halls, administrative offices and classroom buildings. The church offers mass throughout the week and provides programs for all ages. It hosts social events like Sandwich Sundays, camping and a bridge club. Special religious events include bible study, prayer courses, adult Confirmation, faith sharing groups, parenting seminars and marriage support groups. The school provides Catholic-centered education, based on the mission of Saint Paula Montal.
