Saint Johns Lutheran Church was founded in Richmond Hill in 1903 to bring the good news of the gospel to our community. The congregation is a member of the Metropolitan New York Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Each Sunday the Reverend Robert G. Sonnenberg offers an inspiring gospel centered sermon and the congregation responds with its praises singing the liturgy and hymns. Our organist plays on the churchs original 25 rank pipe organ. We share our facilities with the other local congregations that desire to spread the Word of Christ.
