Welcome to the Music Department at First Presbyterian Church of Meadville! Here you will find information about one of the most vibrant music programs in northwestern Pennsylvania. The Psalmist instructs us to "Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness" ( Psalm 29 ), and at First Presbyterian we make every effort to do so. We are dedicated to excellence in traditional sacred music and are blessed with nearly 50 singers and instrumentalists whose participation makes this ministry possible. From the grandeur of Easter Sunday with choir, bells, organ and brass, to simple Gregorian chant at a candlelight vesper service, our music spans the entire range of the Christian experience. We frequently present concerts in our spacious sanctuary, both showcasing our own talent and hosting visiting performers.
