In 1987, Premier Industries purchased the assets of Insulfoam, originally established in 1959. It manufactures and sells block molded and expanded polystyrene for insulation and is one of the largest manufacturers of the product in the United States. The company is a supplier to the construction, insulation and original equipment market. It utilizes pre-expansion, molding and cutting equipment and has computer aided design and engineering capabilities. Premier Industries has manufacturing facilities throughout the U.S., including one in Lakeland, Fla.
