The Statesville Police Department, based in Statesville, N.C., provides a range of law enforcement services and programs to more than 26,000 residents of the city. The department offers a variety of services, such as bike patrol, case investigation, gun registration, crime prevention and emergency readiness services to the residents. It also has an academy that organizes citizens training program. The Statesville Police Department also supports students pursuing college degrees in law enforcement by granting internships to qualified students. It provides opportunities to participate in patrol activities, work with investigators and assist in the development of department projects.
