This is the Princeton Township Police Departent. The police department serves residents of Princeton Township. Robert Buchanan is the Chief of Police.
Located in a wing of Belleville Town Hall that was completed in 1992, the Belleville Police Department provides services that include education through the DARE and GREAT programs, as well as emergency response teams. The department maintains a small satellite location in the parking lot of the Kmart on Main St.
The department's officers are represented by Local 28 of the Patrolmen's Benevolent Association (PBA), which annually donates thousands of dollars to various charities benefiting Belleville and the families of fallen officers.
Police Director James M. Chelel presides over a department of 57 officers. Captain Sal Andreano is in charge of patrol and Captain Kyle Kroll is in charge of investigations. The community relations officer is Sergeant Joseph Levanda.
Haddon Township Police patrol the 2.8-square-mile town 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
