The church serves members of the Lutheran faith as well as the surrounding community. Church services include visitation ministry for the ill, food and toy drives, youth groups and a weekday school for children ranging from five weeks through kindergarten.
The Unitarian Society Montessori School offers early childhood education services. Using the Montessori philosophy, the curriculum includes a variety of integrated activities and lessons designed to stimulate creative thinking and problem solving. The school encompasses a toddler program for children eighteen months to three years, and a preschool program for children three to five years. The school also hosts a variety of family activities and events.
The Gateway Christian Nursery School in East Brunswick is open to students who are 3 and 4 years old. Students get individualized attention and the school has a gym and a playground. The curriculum covers language arts, science, math, health, music, cooking and arts and crafts. The school is located in the Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
