The Maple Dale-Indian Hill School District enrolls students from Bayside, Fox Point, Glendale, and River Hills. They attend Indian Hill School from pre-kindergarten through 2nd grade, and Maple Dale School from 3rd though 8th grade.
This pre-school is located in the lower level of Kingo Lutheran Church but is not religiously affiliated. Whitefish Bay-Shorewood Nursery School was founded more than 60 years ago by a group of local parents seeking to create their own opportunities for early childhood education. It focuses on three areas: large and small motor development, social and imaginative learning and school readiness. The school employs only those with degrees and are certified early childhood education teachers.
Connie's Sunshine Learning Center is a pre-school for 2- to 4-year-olds. Though located at North Shore Presbyterian Church, the school, which was founded over 20 years ago, has no religious affiliation. The program is designed for fun, social and physical development and school preparation through guided and unguided play, art, music, story time, discovery units, games, special guests and field trips.
Right next to Cardinal Stritch, along Port Washington Road, is the large property of St. Francis Children's Center. The interior is colorful, clean and vibrant. The staff is friendly, professional and willing to assist at every turn. The exterior includes a large playing area, another smaller playing area in the front, and several pieces of playground equipment. Three members of the staff are residents of Glendale, and two are graduates of neighboring Nicolet High School. Creative nurturing and education for early childhood development is the St. Francis Children's Center's primary concern.

Tree of Life Christian Preschool serves children from ages 2 to 4. The school's classes are "parent co-op," which means that in addition to the two teachers in every classroom, there is one parent volunteer who helps with day-to-day tasks and on field trips. Starting in the early 1800's, University School originally began as The German-English Academy (GEA). In 1917, GEA changed its name to University School. Milwaukee Female Seminary, Milwaukee Country Day and the new University School combined their efforts in 1963.
