Founded in 1985, Successories is a provider of motivational media. Its products are designed to promote organizational values throughout the workplace, to recognize and inspire the people who make a difference, and to encourage excellence in every professional endeavor. Successories began with a compilation of quotes, creeds and motivational writings of the worlds most influential thinkers. The company believed that these writings, once gathered together, would be of tremendous help to motivate and inspire others. The company had the conviction that the right quotation, at the right moment, could help bring ones goals into perspective. With this in mind, the company created and produced quote books, award plaques and customized gifts. Building on the success of these original insights, photographic imagery was integrated to create framed motivational artwork. In 1988, the very first catalog was developed and mailed under the Celebrating Excellence masthead. The company went public in 1990 and the first Successories retail store opened in 1991.
