All daycare programs are in English but staff is bilingual.
ECS Head Start Imperial Beach Center is located at St. Mary's Santa Maria Virgin Episcopal Church. The Episcopal Community Services is the center's main sponsor.
Children ages 3 to 5 can be signed up for child-care services provided Mon - Fri, 8am - 11:30am or 12:30pm - 4pm. Enrollment is ongoing. Applications may be filled out at the ECS Head Start Imperial Beach Center or your nearest ECS Head Start, with more than a dozen locations across south San Diego. Applications for the new school year begins late March or early April.
Located next to Veteran's Park in Imperial Beach, St. James Lutheran Church and School hosts worship services and also provides preschool and kindergarten for the South Bay community. The church also offers Bible studies, sponsors youth programs such as Scouting and supports community activities.
